With regards to the token being in the state, I haven't actually tried an alternate method of storing the token, but if you got it to work using your alternate method, that's great! I haven't thought about it enough, I'll revise the source code as soon as I test it out, improvement is welcome.

On the topic of wrapping the entire site, it's usually done to help the captcha better understand the traffic on our site. For an exclusively-contact page-only implementation, v2 might be a better choice yes.

For privacy concerns, I think v3's links when you hover over it, should explain what it's doing. But yeah, I understand your precaution about it.
